Things that go hop in the day

Wednesday, July 4th, 2007

Since today is the fourth of July, we’ve discovered that there are things that go hop in the day when we’re not at home. I’m not sure if there’s some kind of game that’s normally going on between Fezzik and the local wildlife, or if this little rabbit is just taking shelter on a cool porch for a few minutes before the afternoon sun starts warming things up.

Fezzik’s first snow

Thursday, February 1st, 2007

Fezzik sniffing the snowWhat a way to start off February — an inch of snow on the ground this morning. Fezzik has never seen snow that we know of… he was thoroughly fascinated, sniffing every inch of ground he passed by.

$1,000 jigsaw puzzle

Sunday, August 20th, 2006

Whew! Nothing like settling in to work on a $1,000 jigsaw puzzle. Ok, so it’s not really a $1,000 puzzle; it was a birthday present. The rest was buying a new dining room set to work the puzzle on, since the chairs that we had previously were hazardous to sit on. It was more a matter of motivation to take care of the dining room situation and put a nice set in than anything else…

Run to the store…

…and buy up the milk and bread! We actually have snow forecasted for north Alabama! It’s supposed to start around 3:00 a.m. and continue until around 10:00 a.m. Hopefully enough will stick that I can make a little snowman and take a picture. No guarantees though.

Update: Of course it didn’t snow. Not one stinking flake! And I stayed up all night just to see it. I’ve decided that our weather men here are full of crap.
